Look, you know what, I was supposed to sit here and talk about why I did what I did at Tournament of Bruises... but I cannot escape from recent events.
I sit before you not to gloat normally about how great the United Kingdom is or how I left my mark and why I did it last Sunday, like I was supposed to, but to talk about the current situation bringing a dark cloud over the GWA. This is not a 'promo', this is a wholehearted statement.
Johnny clears his throat, as the camera crew try to turn off the filming equipment.
I am proud to announce that I will be competing on this Sunday's episode of Showcase, but it will not be my usual charade. I will (hopefully) be taking on my former partner and close friend Mike Lio in our first round match of the 'Big Apple Tournament', but, this week, I will not be fighting on behalf of the United Kingdom, on behalf of the BAWF or on behalf of the GWA.
This week, I will be fighting on behalf of my fellow friends and wrestlers that have been let down and screwed over by the authorities. There will be no gimmick or kayfabe this week. This week will be a pure bloodbath, and myself and my opponent will leave our hearts and souls out there in the ring, not because we want to please the people behind the scenes, but for the fans that have to put up with countless fights over petty egos in the ring.
The ring should be for amazing feats of strength and technical ability, not charades...
I ask my fellow wrestlers to join me in putting on a show in the ring. For the fans.
